Introducing new technologies in his drum playing has been like a dream for Teun Verbruggen for quite some time. Especially for this occasion he worked with Andrew Claes and created a real electronic setup!
The adventure of Ohtin Spake, a ëfree impro jazz trioí started in 2005, when drum player Teun Verbruggen (Jef Neve trio, Flat Earth
Society, ...) challenged guitar player Mauro Pawlowski (dEUS, Somnambula) and
fender-rhodes-laptopwizard Jozef Dumoulin (M‰‚k Spirit, Magic Malik,
Octurn,...) to play an entirely improvised concert.
From that moment they
played on big festival scenes, in underground clubs and invited various
musicians like Trevor Dunn (FantŮmas) and Fred van Hove.
During this concert the special guest will be the American saxophone player Andrew d'Angelo (Kurt Rosenwinkel,
Thyft,...)
